Faces of Arno

I see Arno everyday, on the way to school.

The weather at Pisa is very capricious, sometimes the sun shines so splendidly that it squeezes out all the humidity inside you, sometimes instead it rains, like grey and wet veils falling all around, it's cold, and the streets start to flood.

Compare to the myriad faces of Arno, my moods are comparatively tepid. Always on a balance of slight anxiousness.
The river flows stably and smoothly forward, sometimes I see a little silhouette of someone, rowing a boat on the river in a hurried and nervous temper, as if he's training for some rowing competition.

At dusk the street lights beside Arno lighted up gracefully, reflecting warmly on the surface of the black river, swaying and undulating, like fireworks under water, standing straightly up, spitting out glorious light debris and fragments upwards. It looks remote but fantastic.

Dusk. Empty and quiet. The connection between day and night, time and space.
